If you are an Motorola owner then you have a good news that Motorola have recently rolled out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade to testers on the Xoom Wi-Fi variant, and now it said that some of the owners of Verizon Motorola Xoom 4G LTE have received an OTA Android Jelly Bean update. After Google launched its new iteration of mobile operating system, the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, many smartphone are waiting to bring it installed on their devices. When Jelly Bean launched along with the Asus Nexus 7 and Nexus Q, Google stated that the Motorola Xoom in the list to get Android Jelly Bean 4.1 update. Without any confirmation about rolling out, it now appears that Jelly Bean is rolling out for the Verizon Xoom.
Wait, it is not clear yet, while the Droid-life were tipped off that the Verizon XOOM was getting Jelly Bean — or at least one lucky reader did. It’s very possible Verizon and Motorola are preparing to push Android 4.1 JB out to the 4G LTE Motorola XOOM, but we cannot yet confirm that.
The developers at XDA have already ported it to the Verizon 4G model. At the same time the WiFi Xoom has already seen the Jelly Bean update direct from Google. Still there is no official word from Verizon or Motorola as yet.
The screenshot below clearly shows Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on the Verizon Motorola XOOM, but whether or not it was sent over the air as an official update, or just a custom ROM can’t be confirmed.
