Considering Samsung’s Galaxy range of high-end Android smartphones is technically scheduled to receive the new addition to its lineup, and the purported Galaxy S IV sample photos leaked on Picassa this week, possibly hinting at a 13-megapixel camera which could grace the hype of the Samsung Galaxy S4.
The release date or about the actual specifications of the device in particular, no one knows yet, but this much has been ‘leaked’ that it’s a fairly good guess now that the device will feature an Exynos 5 Octa CPU, coupled with Adreno 320 GPU and a 13MP camera.
On the upcoming Galaxy S IV, the camera has been one interesting topic amongst Android lovers and tech enthusiasts for a while now, mainly becuase this probably will be the most powerful and feature-laden camera unit on any Samsung device to date. A couple leaked photos appearing over at Picassa Web Albums seem to disagree. The photo claims to have been taken through a Samsung Galaxy S IV, and it it’s accurate, the world is in for a shock, because these photos are nowhere worthy enough of a flagship smartphone!
The two photos were actually uploaded to the Album on February 15th, and spotted by SamMobile, but the photo EXIF data includes information that shows up photos were taken with a Samsung GT-I9505 – a model number rumored for an international version of the Galaxy S IV. The leaked photo, allegedly taken via a Galaxy S IV, shows the backside of a tower-casing PC unit, presumably present in an office environment. The native capture resolution of 2322 x 4128 pixels also supports and strengthens the idea that the device can have a 13-megapixel shooter.
While the hardware appears to be OK, but the picture quality is extremely poor. When you notice, the photo samples barely distinguishes the grill at the back of the computer, if at all. Though the ISO value hints a sub-par lighting condition, it matches what you’d expect from a regular indoors environment. If this is a true indoor photo, we won’t be recommending or buying the Galaxy S IV to anyone anytime soon.
I was been waiting for the new Android flagship from Samsung, just dropped to purchase Galaxy S3, because of the release of Galaxy S IV soon. But this particular ‘finding’ puts a lot of things in question. With this camera unit, the S IV is likely to disappoint a huge population. Think Samsung will acknowledge the lead on this one and the final, release version of Galaxy S IV gets what it actually deserves – the best!
