After announcing the latest Galaxy range of products like the EK-GC100 Android -based Camera and Galaxy Note II, has stepped ahead and revealed its new Microsoft/Samsung Windows Phone 8 to the public, and called it Samsung ATIV S. Nokia would been the first to introduce the WP8 handsets, but in another way the Korean company has announced the Windows Phone 8 (ATIV s) smartphone.
When compared to Nokia’s and Microsoft conjunction the new Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices, Samsung has already grabbed its place with ATIV S (WP8).
Now, the mobile market has been completely dominated by iOS and Android but for the first time, it appears as though Windows Phone 8 would be a genuine rival, and if the Samsung’s ATIV S is anything to go by, both Apple and Google will have reason to concern.
Already with the Symbian’s first of batch new Windows Phones that can compete with the big giants in terms of hardware, but it looks awesome, and obviously the Lumia range – specifically the 900 handset – have been celebrated as real contender, the ATIV S looks to be a real head-turners for some reason.
All with the 8.7mm brushed aluminum chassis is definitely screaming to be held in the palm, and with 4.8″ HD Super AMOLED display is equally a site for sore eyes like Galaxy Note II poses. The display is well protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 2, and with some decently equipped hardware under the hood, it’s little wonder Samsung gone with very strong and advanced protection commercially available currently.
The Windows Phone 8 ATIV S packs clocking in a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera (rare), 1.9MP front-facing snapper. It’ll ship with 16GB or 32GB storage capacity, although both will include the micro-SD slot offering up to double the space of the higher-end model. However it was rumored that the Samsung is plannng to launch its own 64GB UHS-1 microSD card in the coming October month.
Other Samsung’s ATIV S WP8 features, it said it will be integrated with the 2300mAh battery and whereas the company has been criticized for lacing its high-end devices with cheap plastic, falling to add that final touch of uniqueness, but this device is aluminum makeover, with certain exception of the frontier – giving it that classy, genuine-built finisher.
So, are you keeping any space for this newly announced Samsung’s Windows Phone 8 – the ATIV S smartphone in your shelves? Shows up that though the Samsung design team has saved some of its best work for Windows Phone 8. Different thinking made for humans!
