Obviously the Americans and Europeans will get the first hands at the Lumia 920, no, the pattern has changed like Canadians will be getting the device first. The whole iteration has been changed now, like Nokia merged with Microsoft and produced a whole new Windows Phone Lumia handsets in the past and shipped then first to Europe and USA, and this time the Nokia Lumia 920 landing on Rogers Canada first with an exclusive price of $100.
Rogers has confirmed that some of its stores will have Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone 8 hardware in stock on October 30th – yeh, today! The handset is available for $100 when you sign up to a new three year contract with Rogers.
Before updating your device which is still exclusive, the Nokia Lumia 920 comes with Windows Phone 8 and features a 4.5 inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels, processing is provided by a dual core Snapdragon S4 processor, and interestingly the Lumia 920 include an 8.7 megapixel rear facing “PureView” camera with a Carl Zeiss Lens and there is also a front facing 1.2 megapixel camera for video chat.
The only-drawbacks to being a pioneer are the black-only Lumia 920 color choice , no other desired ones like red, blue or white and Rogers’ current lock on the initial launch. Microsoft has also confirmed that the Lumia coming to Rogers and followed with the hope of Bell and Telus soon. It’s a small price to pay for making even the Finnish’s slightly jealous.
The other high-end Windows Phone 8 handset on another Canadian network would be the Samsung ATIV S will be available on Telus. Surprise comes exclusively!
