The LG’s Nexus 4 is due to be unveiled next Monday. You can now get your hands to the first many devices to carry the Nexus brand name, and today with the confirmation that points towards the existence of the LG E960 support page gone live on the LG’s official website. Details after the jump!
The LG Nexus 4 “LG E960” isn’t available as support page on every version of company’s site, but UK and Australia versions are there to see, which you can’t deny it any longer.
It was rumored that the Nexus 4 smartphone is expected to be announced by Google at the special Android event on Monday, October 29th. Now, with a report has surfaced online that LG E960 support manuals has confirmed the Nexus 4 name and it is expected to be running the latest Android 4.2. LG’s Nexus device was listed in the Carphone Warehouse inventory system earlier this month. Current reports and leaks also disclosed that the upcoming Nexus smartphone will be Google-branded LG-made device and will hold the label – “LG Nexus 4”.
The latest image leak of the support manuals indicates that the device has an induction coil for wireless charging and excludes any microSD slot for additional storage. It has informed that LG Nexus 4 will be using a 1.5 GHz powered Snapdragon S4 Pro Krait quad-core processor and will ship with 2GB RAM capable of providing better device efficiency.
Similar to the LG Optimus G, the rumored LG Nexus 4 is expected to have similar specifications, like with a 1280 x 768 True-High Definition IPS display, presence of 8 megapixels rear camera and 1.3 mega pixels front facing camera. The new Nexus smartphone is also informed to be powered by an efficient 2,100 mAh battery and the handset will feature a thickness of 9.1mm and will weigh approximately 139 grams.
Finally, LG Nexus 4 will be reportedly made available to users in two internal storage options including 8GB and 16GB variants. Right now it’s just placeholder graphics and don’t try to download the phone’s manual just yet.
It will be interesting to see how well the device does when it does arrive with this best confirmation yet that the LG Nexus 4 is coming our way.
Update: Google’s special Android scheduled to be held in New York City this coming Monday has been cancelled due to the threat of an impending hurricane storm. Hurricane Sandy is looming, and as such, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo declared a state of emergency in response to the incoming storm, so the Google’s event was set to take place on a waterfront pier, which is now in an evacuation zone yesterday.
