With a 5 hours more time left for the Apple’s announcement of the new iPhone 5 smartphone and expected to unveil the new iPod touches, that is now rumored to come with a larger 4-inch display with a 1136×640 pixels resolution screen.
Some unexpected news comes out from the guys over at Apple Insider, reports that by “adding built-in GPS support to the iPod touch, Kuo said Apple will be able to offer better support for its own Maps solution in its new iOS 6 mobile operating system.”
Actually these details were unveiled on Wednesday by the well-sourced Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities. He also mentioned and pointed that the iPod touch will be equipped in a different color beyond black and white, much like the iPod nano and Shuffle, to simply increase the appeal of the new iPod touch to younger consumer.
The iPod Touch 5G is rumored to feature GPS to make use of Apple’s new mapping software in iOS 6 which will be replacing Google Maps? The new additions would allow the iPod touch to connect to “Mac or iPad devices equipped with larger panel, working like a game controller,” he said.
If it becomes true then the re-touched iPods will be featuring with an 5-megapixel camera and the size to 4-inch in-cell panel matching the screen size of the newly rumored iPhone 5. He also indicated that the new iPod touch will feature the same A5 processor as the iPad 2, while the new iPhone will sport a faster A5 chip.
