EA Games has finally bringing the most popular PS3 game for their Wii U speed adreline seekers by announcing that the Most Wanted iteration of the NSF franchise, that will be officially released of Nintendo’s latest gaming platform in March of this year. Need for Speed: Most Wanted franchise has been critically acclaimed as one of the biggest hits in the racing gaming genre of recent times, made available on Windows PCs, OS X, smartphones and now bringing cutting-edge aesthetics and in depth social features.
Wii U owners can now expect to see the game hitting shelves toward the end of March 2013, with the development team ensuring that a number of Wii U specific modes are included with the purcahse. While, I’m huge fan of the Need for Speed franchise and have been since the days of the PS2, and now, the popular racing game will afford users the luxury of not only playing and interacting with the game through the GamePad touchscreen, but also get involved in an additional co-operative mode called Co-Driver.
The Co-Driver mode that allows an individual player to get to grips with an interactive map that is controlled through the use of a Wii Remote or any Wii accessory specifically like Pro Controller. Just as Most Wanted offers on other platforms, players will get a connected, open world where they can race, chase, and explore anywhere they want. The Wii U version of the game does have some unique features to go along with the GamePad controller. By using the GamePad touchscreen, the player can navigate using a fully interactive map, distract the cops, change between day and night modes, activate performance enhancements, and control the traffic on the road. Players can also choose cars and keep track of statistics using the touchscreen.
The aim of the additional mode is to allow one player to handle certain activities like distracting and entertaining the pursuing authorities and invoking collected performance power-ups, whereas the second player can take control of navigation responsibilities and provide guidance. While talking about this new mode out of equation; Most Wanted for Wii U NFS will also give gamers the ability to flip between their favorite vehicles, to track their performance and any milestones they may reach as well as uncovering the secrets of each day.
The Wii U also gets some special cars right out of the box including the McLaren F1 LM, Lamborghini Aventador J, Pagani Zonda R, Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, and the Hennessey Venom GT Spyder. As an additional bonus, the game will also come with the Ultimate Speed Pack additional content that brings some of the world’s most precious cars to the game. Putting aside the fantastic new features and the fact that the game can actually be played directly on the GamePad, Need for Speed: Most Wanted will bring one of the world’s greatest racing games to the Nintendo platform and that’s what the good news for Wii U owners right now.
