Google spending considerable time talking about the new iteration of its mobile operating system of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update during its annual I/O conefrence a few weeks ago. Recently Google has revealed the full changlog for the latest and greatest version of its open-source firmware, which pointed details about Jelly Bean’s top most to bottom line features that the search giant already highlighted. According to this news, said, Google has promised that the Motorola’s Xoom an Android 3.0 Honeycomb version would be first of devices to get the Android Jelly Bean 4.1 update and it appears that the company will make some good gestures on that promise though. According to Droid-Life, members of Motorola Feedback Network have also confirmed that the Motorola has started out sending invites to test new Android software. While Motorola said that they haven’t heard about any other upcoming updates, but they believe that it’s the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update that Google promised for mid-july would be rolling out.
Exclusively, the update is going to be coming to the Wi-Fi model of the Motorola Xoom first. But, it’s unclear when the Verizon model of the Xoom will see the upgrade of Android’s 4.1 Jelly Bean.
However, it is also not clear about when the upgrade for the WiFi Xoom model will be rolling out, but expected to seeded out in coming days, well after the testing ogf the software update go well though, there are still some issues, which can lead for a delay.
Google originally promised Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the Motorola Xoom, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S by the middle of July. The Motorola Xoom is the second device to get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus GSM/HSPA+ was first to get the update, and here are the details about manually install it on the Android 4.0 ICS device.
No idea on about the timeline for the updates for the Nexus S or Galaxy Nexus but we expect to hear something come to the surface in the not-so-distant future. But the Wi-Fi Motorola Xoom should be seeing it soon.
