LG Rumored To Announce Android 4.2 And Next Nexus II Smartphone Next Month

Speculation: as Google’s next-gen Android mobile operating system version 4.2 is coming in November with LG Optimus G Nexus – with the Galaxy Nexus being over a year old now, rumors of the next device in the Nexus series of Android joy smartphones are getting stronger and hotter by the day.

Back in August, details regarding the specifications of the next Galaxy Nexus smartphone emerged in the wild online. Las month, it appeared that the next Galaxy Nexus specifications and then, after a week or so, now an purported photo taken using Galaxy Nexus II (GT-i9260) model.

While, the GT-I9260 model would seem to fit in nicely with Samsung’s previous internal name conventions, given further evidence that this could indeed be the new Galaxy Nexus II. Google will announce Android 4.2 next month at an event with LG, where the later will unveil the LG Optimus G Nexus, according to todays rumors.

What is suggests is that Google might be overhauling their Nexus program, and that the next “LG Nexus” might actually come from – the LG Electronics?

This news comes straight from AndroidMe’s “regular source”, Google will be officially revealing Android 4.2 and a Nexus handset from LG at an upcoming event held in November. The announcement will also discuss an overhauled Nexus certification program which will allow smartphone manufacturers to produce their own Nexus smartphone, provided meets strict guidelines from the big “G”.

At the moment it’s for Google’s flagship devices, like the Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus. But – if the rumor becomes accurate – Google will let any manufacturer release devices as part of the program. While this Nexus tip wishes to remain anonymous. In order to qualify as part of the Nexus family, companies will have to make devices that use stock Android and 64MB of secure memory for faster media streaming. By adding custom UI skins as part of a new “customization center” Google will introduce their Nexus productions.

LG has been rumored to be working on a Nexus smartphone for a while now. The name is said to be LG Optimus G Nexus, will have the same, or at least similar specs. If this rumors turned true, then, the Optimus G Nexus will be a huge jump over the Galaxy Nexus and be the powerhouse of a smartphone!
