iFaith, an SHSH Dumper Tool, has been updated to version 1.1 and is made available for Download by iH8sn0w.
Before the release of iFaith, if you want to restore your Device to a previous iOS Firmware, the only way is to save the current firmware’s SHSH blobs using tools such as TinyUmbrella which automatically saved your SHSH blobs to Cydia Server. If the SHSH Blobs were were not saved and Apple stopped signing your iOS Device, then it is not possible to Downgrade your Device as iTunes willl stop at the Downgrading process at the ‘Verifyinf Firmware’ Phase.
But, iFaith will extract the SHSH Blobs directly from the device regardless of the Firmware your device is running. So, even though Apple is not signing that Firmware, you can restore back that same firmware.
The Improvements in the Latest Update are
* Code Improvement
* Minor Bug Fixes with iOS/Device Detection
* Alerts the user when iFaith was unable to hook iTunes instead of crashing
* iFaith now SHA1’s the SHSH Blob
iDevices Supporting iFaith are:
* iPhone 3GS
* iPhone 4
* iPhone Touch 3G
* iPod Touch 4
* iPad 1G
* Apple TV2
Support for iPad2 is not available yet.
Important Note: iFaith v1.1 is currently available for Windows users only. Mac Version of iFaith is under development and expected to release shortly.
