Team Evad3rs has started rolling out the most awaited jailbreak for iOS 6 fully untethered using Evasi0n iOS 6.x jailbreak tool. Being an iPhone 4 and 4S owner I am happy with the newly launched untether jailbreak, which is working great on my device running iOS 6.1 firmware, and no wonder my device has faced any issues while jailbreaking like “weather bug”, which is now affecting a lot of users. It’s clarified that no doubt that the bug is present and however, we got a fix for that after the jump!
Actually, Evasi0n jailbreak is somewhat Cydia package released as a Debian tweak that can convert a tethered iOS 6.x jailbreak to untethered. But today we’re here to know about the weather bug which can be fixed in an upcoming update for the Evasi0n iOS 6.x untether Cydia tweak. If! and if you’re eager to know on how to fix and don’t want to wait for such long upgrade, you have a chance to fix weather bug on iOS 6.x jailbreak by yourself manually. Here’s what Pod2g has explained on his official blog; a script to fix the weather bug. Haed over to that published step-by-step instructions to take full advantage on how you can fix with the script to once again be able to venture outside.
How-to fix Evasi0n iOS 6.x weather bug on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch:
Step 1: Launch Cydia and install OpenSSH & Mobile Terminal on your iPhone, iPd touch and iPad after iOS 6.x jailbreak.
Step 2: Once those debian packages installed, you will need to type in the command line following into Terminal and hit ‘Enter’.
Step 3: Once done! You’ll be prompted to enter your password, which will likely be “apline” (default) for those that haven’t changed yet.
Step 4: Now, copy and paste the following script into Mobile Terminal and hit “Enter”.
chmod -x /usr/libexec/mobile_installation_proxy
killall -9 mobile_installation_proxy
rm /var/mobile/Library/Caches/com.apple.mobile.installation.plist /var/mobile/Library/Caches/com.apple.LaunchServices-045.csstore
launchctl stop com.apple.mobile.installd
launchctl start com.apple.mobile.installd
while [ ! -f /var/mobile/Library/Caches/com.apple.mobile.installation.plist ];
while [ ! -f /var/mobile/Library/Caches/com.apple.LaunchServices-045.csstore ];
chmod +x /usr/libexec/mobile_installation_proxy
Step 5: Once entered the above mentioned command, you’ll need to wait till process and then your iOS device will reboot several times. Once its finished and turned back, you will notice that the weather bug has now been fixed.
