Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is a 2002 action-adventure video game is going to celebrate it tenth anniversary after just three days, and in much the same way as it celebrated ten years of Grand Theft Auto III developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games will be bringing the iconic title to mobile devices universally.
This would be the second 3D games in the Grand Theft Auto series and franchising the sixth original title overall. On October 29, 2002 for the PlayStation 2 it debuted in North America and was later ported to the Xbox, and Microsoft Windows in 2003. The Grand Theft Auto series, or GTA, to which it is commonly referred, has consistently been one of the most popular in the industry, and from now a large portion of gaming is now enjoyed on mobile phones as opposed to the PC / console, Rockstar has adopted its roster accordingly – bringing both GTA III and Max Payne to the scene.
Nearly 10 years ago, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City redefined the concept of an action-based open-world video game. Now it will be releasing as an Anniversary Edition of the classic PlayStation 2 game for iOS users this fall. The iOS version of the title will feature the full experience of the game with high-resolution graphics and several enhancements. The almost straight-port of Grand Theft Auto III to iOS and Android was handled expertly, and if Rockstar follows the same process in bringing Vice City to devices like the iPad and Nexus 7, it could be yet another sure-fire hit though.
Rockstar has done a great job transferring some of its more popular titles over to the mobile platforms. GTA III was released for iOS smartphones late last year, and Max Payne, hit the App Store in April. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is something of a spin-off to the main series. Much like Call of Duty: Black Ops breaks away from the main, Modern Warfare series, the likes of Vice City and San Andreas have taken the story off on a slight tangent. Allowing gamers to indulge in a new place and partake in a new surrounding challenges.
No other official words have been revealed with regards to an actual release date, either on which devices this GTA will be supported. Suspect the iPhone and iPad will be a part of this, and in fact Android point of view, developers seem to be covering the Samsung Galaxy S III and Google Nexus 7 as the best. Get ready your mobiles to gear yourself up for the little bit of Vice City very soon.
May be: When Grand Theft Auto III, a universal title for both the iPhone/iPod touch, is on sale for $0.99. The iPhone version of Grand Theft Auto: China Town Wars has also been reduced to the $0.99 price. Hopefully, GTA: Vice City will be a universal title like Grand Theft Auto, with a price of around $4.99?
