Gameloft Reportedly To Launch 12 Xbox Enabled Games For Windows Phone 8

Yesterday, Microsoft has officially unveiled its Windows Phone 8 operating system to the world, just after Google unveiled LG Nexus 4 and Samsung’s Nexus 10 tablet. It’s not a coincident, but both the Biggies have already plans for big announcements on October 29th. Google with its latest version of mobile operating system, the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean announced both Nexus 4 smartphone and Nexus 10 tablet. Microsoft in the other hand revealed the highly-anticipated mobile OS, Windows Phone 8. Now Gameloft has announced something for the WP8 handsets. Check the details after the jump!

Gameloft has announced that they are bring a total of twelve new Xbox enabled games to Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 platform. Gameloft is one of the biggest mobile game publishers for iOS and Android devices, has officially announced 12 titles for Windows Phone 8.

The list of 12 games includes Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, The Dark Knight Rises, Real Soccer 2013, Order & Chaos Online, N.O.V.A. 3: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance, Asphalt 7: Heat and more. The games are mostly available on other platforms already like my favorite Gameloft’s series of Call of Duty a-like first-person shooter, and the world’s highest-profile game title on the year 2012.

More off, these new games for Windows Phone 8 will obviously feature some great level of Xbox integration with inclusions like leader boards, achievements, multi-player support and much more. The full list of titles is below:

  • Ice Age Village
  • N.O.V.A. 3: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance
  • Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour
  • Shark Dash
  • Asphalt 7: Heat
  • The Dark Knight Rises
  • UNOTM & Friends
  • Order & Chaos Online
  • The Amazing Spider-Man
  • Fashion Icon
  • Poker for Prizes
  • Real Soccer 2013

Despite showing similar promise with its unique hooks into Xbox, Windows Phone never really took off as a gaming platform, while the major game publishers backing will help offer others to get on board this time around. Finally, no details as yet on when they will launch on Windows Phone 8. Stay tuned!
