The time is coming closer and closer to an highly-anticipated announcement and release of the next-generation iPhone. With the iPhone 4S being released in October of last year and the same traditional Worldwide Developers Conference release date already passed, and it appears that we can expect a similar launch time for Apple’s new iPhone (5). Before the October announcement, we have to see some activity during the month of September.
As you all know that the new iPhone announcement and launch, will also see the public outing of the next major release of iOS, which takes the company’s mobile operating system to version 6.0. Back in 2011, when the iPhone 4S was out the latest version of iOS 5.0 final was along with it. Now with the original announcement at this year’s WWDC in June, Apple has already seeded out three beta builds of iOS 6 to registered developers, gave them a chance to test their existing apps for compatibility but also investigate the new APIs and report any bugs that can be fixed before official IOS 6 launch.
To continue its improving process, Apple has officially released the next part in the development of iOS 6 by making the fourth beta of the said software available only to regiustered developers. So, iOS 6 beta 4 (build 10A5376e) is now rolling out to devs as an over-the-air (OTA) update. Final iOS 6 will power the next iPhone, rumored 7-inch iPad, and iPod touch when it is released to the public this fall.
The beta 4 update is available through the developers member center and can only be officially accessed by those who have a registered Apple ID connected to a paid development account. The method of accessing the beta via iTunes Connect, those who already have the beta installed on their test devices should be starting to receive a notification that an over-the-air update is available.
Apple will be hoping that each release to developers will bring with it a more stable and noticeably enjoyable iOS 6 experience. With iOS containing some substantial upgrades for the 6.0 release. With the integration of new 3D-enabled mapping system would be one of the most wanted one.
Update: Apple has removed the stock YouTube app in beta 4, and Google is working on a new version of the app for the App Store. Bluetooth Sharing settings have also been spotted. This next version of fourth beta of iOS 6 build will expire on September 30th.
