Before you download and install iOS 6, you have to make sure that you’re not rely on unlock, if yes, don’t update to iOS 6, and there will be no untethered jailbreak available for iOS 6, and you can only make a tethered iOS 6 jailbreak and that too is only limited to iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPod touch.

Step 1: First vof all backup your device. You can do so through iTunes, or by using iCloud.
Step 2: If you are jailbroken on iOS 5.1.1, you’ll need to save SHSH blobs before Apple stops signing that firmware. This process can be done either using the latest tethered version of Redsnow under “Extras” or using the latest TinyUmbrella or iFaith.
Step 3: Download and install iTunes 10.7 from here. This is required by the final version of iOS 6.
Step 4: Not jailbroken your iOS device, then installing over-the-air (OTA) is most preferable, and in order to achieve that haed over to Settings > General > Software Update. If you are jailbroken, then installing via iTunes is the best choice, by downloading iOS 6 direct links below.
