Add Colors to Windows Taskbar Buttons Using TaskBow
Now, you can make your Windows 7 taskbar look more attractive and productive by assigning new colors to the Programs in the Taskbar. This assignment of Colors to the taskbar can be done by a program called TaskBowFree. TaskBowFree is a portable application for Windows Xp, Windows Vista and Windows7. It lets you assign new colors to taskbar buttons. For instance you can assign blue color to Media Player, red color to Mozila Firefox, Sky blue color toMicrosoft Word etc.
TaskBowFree also allows you to organize programs in the Taskbar. Also, this program comes with a Quick launch. Once this program is installed, all pinned programs will move to quick launch area. Just hovering the mouse on the Quick Launch button, you can view all pinnede items.
How to Install and Use TaskBow:
Step 1: Download and run TaskBow.exe file. This will replace the Windows taskbar with TaskBow.
Step 2: When you run TaskBow for the first time, some popular programs like Microsoft word, excel etc have Default Colors. To customize the colors of these programs, Right-click on the TaskBar button, select TaskBow and click on Add/Edit Colors.Now, select the color of your choice for the Button and Button-text.
Step 3: To add items to Quick Launch, open TaskBow settings and select Quick Launch settings. You can also disable the Quick launch seetings, select Disable Use Quick Launch Panel option under Options tab.
TaskBow works fine on x86 and x64 versions of Windows 7.
Important Note: When you quit TaskBow, the default Window Taskbar appears immediately. If any error occurs, just restart the Explorer in Task Manager.
